Obsidian Gallery has presented the best in contemporary craft to Tucson residents and visitors for twenty-three years. There is an emphasis on the traditional craft media of clay, fiber, metal, glass and wood. Contemporary fine art and works in mixed media complement the selection. Obsidian has become a destination for collectors of innovative studio art jewelry.

Located in an elegant shopping plaza, the gallery has a regional feel; exhibitors include many artists from the Southwest who produce work that is evocative of the area and its culture while retaining a contemporary and innovative quality. Artists from all over the U.S. are represented; included are well-known established artists and emerging artists.

Exhibitions are ongoing and changing, with different artists' work featured. Theme shows are popular seasonal offerings.

Obsidian 128 is our new fine art gallery, which opened in October, 2009. Contemporary paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture by both local and non-local artists are on display and for sale. Obsidian 128 adjoins Obsidian Gallery, the contemporary craft gallery at St. Philip's Plaza.
